Mid century inspired kitchen
- Family home, Brockley SE London

The clients came to me when building work was already underway as they had saved hard for their dream kitchen extension but the main kitchen stores had seriously underwhelmed them with the designs they were offering.

The clients wanted something really special, with wow factor, that would feel unique and be perfectly tailored to their needs.

We threw out the high st kitchen store offerings and designed this bespoke mid-century inspired kitchen by combining bamboo, fresh white and warm, marble like worktops. We put in all the conveniences they wanted (boiling water tap, under counter extraction, wine rack, American fridge with water/ice, plenty of plugs around the island) and kept the budget reasonable by using off the shelf carcasses and adding bespoke doors, hand made by the always excellent Boggis-Rolfe Design.

Because we put in a hob with a built in extractor we were able to hang this wonderful canopy light that holds a mini jungle of plants. You know me, I love a good plant.

The clients love cooking there now, as well as just relaxing in the wonderful and light space.

They say: 'We wouldn’t have the kitchen we have now (which we love) without you. Still in awe of what you did for us!'

In fact they are so delighted, they're getting me back to do the loft!

They say

"Having Mia on board to design our bathroom for us was exactly what we needed. I was looking for someone to hold my hand from start to finish - and she did. She was so clear and specific about things that it was easy to feel complete trust in her, and the end result was really special."
